[Super Trance Smash!]

A lil' bit of honesty...

Man, I was really enjoying it, and I mean for real. The bassline was driving me like hell, i loved it. It was all good, the bass, the beat, the pads and the highhats, all up to 2:08. Than the main melody kicks in, and it's, ehm, well... completely out of tune. And I mean completely as in harmonic dissonance. Fix that please, 'cause beside that I've got no complaints, but this one is a big NO NO.

I'll give you a 4/4 8/10, despite that 'cause the other stuff is pretty cool though.

Yeah, I thought it sounded ugly too but I had several people tell me they loved the hell out of it. Made me scratch my head but I figured I'd leave it. I guess there's some beauty in ugly.

2. Massive sound and goooooooood mixing. You can totally feel the energy pumping, even on shitty headphones. The sound is coherent and delivers big time !!!
1. Nice filtering. Makes sense and put to good use for amplification and direction of the emotional experience.
3. Totally appropriate choice of synths & sounds. No shitty twiddling/pinching/shredding/annoingl y sawing my head off bullcrap. Just the right amount of energy.
4. Good intro building + single clap in room + reverse cymbal thingie. Really liked that part XD. Nice ending too...

1.(and the ONLY one). It's the arrangement that bugs me. IMHO I feel your eagerness for making the breakdowns unpredictable (an admirable trait-don't get me wrong) and unexpected went a bit too far. There were cuts in the flow of things that were unnecessary. These cut in the flow too much too soon (a longer version maybe?). I think a slightly adjusted balance between the regular and the opposite would do wonders.

All in all I'm trowing a 5/5 9/10 your way, and there's no way you can counter that fact :P

This one is tasty and totally made my morning start at work. The synth is delicious, yummmmm. The string melody is a nice topping too.

I give this a 5/5 and 9/10 because of the strings. They are scaring me somehow with that hard attack and short release that makes me uneasy. But the melody is good though.

Nice Melody and synths...

...but the hihats are lacking. should be louder and more defined in the mix, then they would really drive the rythm.

The arrangement could also use just a bit more to spice it up, but that's personal taste.

I like the main theme and it's executed nicely. Overall a 4/4 8/10 from me.

Well done man, well done.

Although the mix could be better if we speak productionwise (the kick could be bumped up a notch and the pads softened a little) it's the melody that did it for me. It has a childhood smell to it and I mean that in a good way. It just brings me back, you know? I like that. Another fine example of the fact that simplicity plays a big role in composing music when applied properly. Also I have a soft spot for that kind of flute sound and I hate it when it isn't used in the right contest; something you victoriously managed to avoid and gave it it's proper place in arrangement. I like the bass line too and all together it sounds very gamey. I wouldn't mind at all playn' a lightweight rpg with this score as a backdrop. Well done.
